Remote Learning - Teacher Websites A Message From Our Principal Dear Parents and Guardians, First off I want to thank all of you for your efforts and cooperation during this trying time. I would like to share a little information with you all and hopefully end some misconceptions. As you know, the school closure dates have changed over the last few weeks and along with that many of the rules have also changed. With school now being closed for the remainder of the school year, the state rules are different. Schools are now asked to show to the state what requirements are being asked of students in order for them to receive credit. We were told that in giving credit to students that we must consider the whole year, including any educational opportunities provided during the closure. So, to receive credit for this semester we need students to do their work. Summer hasn't started yet and teachers are working hard to get assignments out to all their students. As a school, we have to show to the State Board of Education proof that you have been assigned work and proof that you have done work. If there is no proof of any work done that means we cannot give credit. I appreciate all of those students and parents/guardians who have worked diligently to further the educational process. To those who have not done any work, you need to get busy. Please don't ask to just give the grade that the students had when all this started, as this is not an option, just do the work! Once again, thanks for all the hard work in getting through this trying time! I know that if we work together and communicate with each other we will make it through.
